Schrodingers Paperback

In my head are two novels. Both are there in potentia and having re-read Pratchett’s Guards Guards! for the umpt-ninth time I finally understood his dedication about Schrodingers Paperback.

Schrodingers CAT has three possible states – alive or dead, or (if you have ever put a cat in a box then opened it after a random period of time) bloody annoyed.

A novel in the head has three possible states – never to be written, going to be written and ‘deleted – it’s all on the page’.
